I got the chance to shoot the Mieneke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte between the University of North Carolina and Pittsburgh. It was the second straight year UNC played in the game and the second straight year they lost by only a few points.
It was also my first assignment with my new Nikon D700. I made this image of Greg Little making a touchdown grab in the first quarter. I shot this at 800 ISO with an 80-200 and I know I would not have gotten as clean of an image with my the D2h I had been using.
Pitt went on to win the game, but since I work at a North Carolina newspaper, this image still got played pretty big.
